I was recruited by SCAD to work with other students on a project from ESRI. ESRI is a Geo special company which asked us to design an AR app using their data from their software, City Engine. The project was a collaboration between 30 students to make a 3D printing model of part of Savannah city, a VR experience and an AR experience. We chose Microsoft Hololens as our main platform for AR. I was the only programmer in that project and it was my first time working with Hololens. Since Hololens just came out I couldn't use Holotoolkit to develop the app. We only had five weeks to come up with concept, research and development. Our concept was to make a tourist app for small part of Savannah. The challenges for me was Time, optimization and understanding Hololens. Having many data and huge number of vertices without loosing frame rate was my biggest achievement. The end result was good enough and I was asked to present it in different conventions and for different companies and organizations. At the end, I did an internship in ESRI in same year.
